When combined with couplers and fittings, they form a highly versatile and heavy-duty matrix that supports laborers, materials, and equipment at elevated heights.
Hot-Dip Galvanized Steel:The industry standard.Coated with zinc for maximum rust prevention.Highly durable and ideal for long-term outdoor use.
Black / Mild Steel:Raw or painted carbon steel without zinc coating.More budget-friendly.Prone to corrosion and requires frequent maintenance.
Structural Roles in a Scaffold Framework
Within a traditional "Tube and Fitting" scaffold system, pipes are classified into four key roles based on their positioning:
1.Standards: Vertical pipes that carry the entire weight of the structure down to the ground.
2.Ledgers: Horizontal pipes running parallel to the building wall. They connect the standards and provide horizontal support.
3.Transoms: Short horizontal pipes resting on top of the ledgers. They run perpendicular to the wall and directly support the wooden or steel scaffold boards (planks).
4.Bracing (Diagonal Tubes): Diagonal pipes clamped to the framework. They create rigid triangles to prevent the scaffold from swaying or collapsing under wind and loads.
